Information regarding admission to Churchdown School Academy
ADMISSION INTO YEAR 7 IN SEPTEMBER
The school’s admission criterion sets out admission preferences in case of over-subscription. Admission is organised county wide by the local authority, Gloucestershire County Council. Parents are asked to complete an online application form (paper copies are available upon request) by the deadline set by local authority and are normally advised on 1 March preceding September entry as to whether or not they have been successful with their choice of school.
ADMISSION INTO THE SIXTH FORM
The Sixth Form admission criteria sets out the academic standards required for acceptance into the Sixth Form. It is recommended that students wishing to join the Sixth Form arrange an interview with the Head of the Sixth Form prior to applying.
For late entrants i.e. all other admissions except for Sixth Form and entry into Year 7 in September, parents are advised to contact the School Admissions Officer, on 01452 713340 to check whether the school has vacancies for the relevant year and to arrange an interview and obtain an application form if there is a vacancy.
