Welcome to Our School
We've put together a short video so that you can see our school and meet our wonderful students and teachers. You can also hear about the ambitious vision of Churchdown from the Headteacher Mr Potter.
Our Talented, ambitious students would like to explain to you about their time in Churchdown. In this video they give a valuable insight into what life is like in Churchdown and how they feel supported and valued to be whatever they want to be in this world.
Here is a short word from Miss Hicks who is the head of year 7. She explains how she has been welcoming the newest students into our school community this year as well as looking out for them everyday.
And finally here is what our incredible teachers have to say about Churchdown School and how they feel their roles directly impact the students education, wellbeing and ambition.
Information regarding admission to Churchdown School Academy
Our aim is simple: we want to be the very best school possible for all the students in our care. We want to be able to say, hand on heart, that our students could not have received a better education in any other school.
Wednesday 22nd September 2021
Our Open Evening is being held on Wednesday 22nd September from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. The Headteacher presentations will take place at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Also included in the evening is a tour where you can get a feel for the school. We would advise you to arrive in good time as the evening is very popular with prospective parents.
Parents will have an opportunity to tour the school with the Headteacher each morning starting at 8.45 or 9.45. These tours begin on Thursday 23rd September and conclude on Wednesday 20th October. The tour is an opportunity for you to see the school in action and have your questions answered by the Headteacher. To arrange a tour please telephone the Headteacher's PA Mrs Jacqueline Tilley on 01452713340 ext 224 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our staff and students look forward to meeting you.
Admission into Year 7 in September
The school’s admission criteria sets out admission preferences in case of over-subscription. Admission is organised county wide by the local authority, Gloucestershire County Council. Parents are asked to complete an online application form (paper copies are available upon request) by the deadline set by local authority and are normally advised on 1 March preceding September entry as to whether or not they have been successful with their choice of school.
For late entrants i.e. all other admissions except for Sixth Form and entry into Year 7 in September, parents are advised to contact Mrs Jacqueline Tilley, on 01452 713340 to check whether the school has vacancies for the relevant year and to arrange an interview and obtain an application form if there is a vacancy.
