For entrance into Year 7 in September 2026 please see below a reminder of some key dates.
SEPTEMBER 2026 ADMISSIONS TIMETABLE
September 2025 - Letters sent out explaining how to apply for school spaces
3rd September 2025 - Online application facility opens
31st October 2025 (midnight) - Closing date for school applications
2nd March 2026 - Allocation day
16th March 2026 (midnight) - Closing date to return reply form accepting the school place
By 6th April 2026 - Outcome of waiting list requests sent out
10th April 2026 - Closing date for wating list round responses
April – 5th May - Request to Appeal
June - Appeals to be held
APPEALS
Parents/Carers whose application has been unsuccessful have the right to appeal to an independent Appeals Panel. Appeals will be conducted in accordance with the Code of Practice for Schools Admissions Appeals.
If you wish to appeal for a Year 7 place at Churchdown School for entrance September 2026, please email school@churchdownschool.com for further information. Please only do this once the second round of allocations has been issued by the Local Authority (end of March).
- The deadline for returning the completed appeal form will be 8th May 2026.
- Year 7 appeal hearings will take place w/c 1st June 2025.
- Parents will be informed of the hearing arrangements two weeks prior.

Information regarding admission to Churchdown School Academy
Our aim is simple: we want to be the very best school possible for all the students in our care. We want to be able to say, hand on heart, that our students could not have received a better education in any other school.
In-Year Admissions
For late entrants i.e. all other admissions except for Sixth Form and entry into Year 7 in September, parents are advised to contact Mrs J Walsh, on 01452 713340 to check whether the school has vacancies for the relevant year and to arrange an interview and obtain an application form if there is a vacancy.
