On Tuesday last week, our History Department took 49 Year 9 students to the Imperial War Museum in Manchester. Students explored the galleries and took part in two engaging workshops. In Life in Nazi Germany, they became curators handling primary evidence, deciding which items best represented a particular person, and explaining their thinking to the group. They also took on a documentary challenge, stepping into the role of filmmakers and choosing the museum objects that stood out most to them. We're so proud to share Amber's story, a former Churchdown student who is now studying clinical and health psychology at university. Amber's journey is a powerful reminder of the difference encouragement, support and belief can make. With the support of her teachers, she grew in confidence, overcame anxiety and is now planning to launch her own baking and art businesses. We always love hearing from our former students. Year 10 Geography Fieldwork Our Y10 GCSE Geography students had a fantastic day exploring Berrow Sand Dunes and Weston-super-Mare, putting their classroom learning into action through real-life fieldwork.
