Requirements to enter our Sixth Form:

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above.
A grade 4 in English and a grade 4 in GCSE Maths.

Course Entry Requirements:

All A-Level subjects and some BTEC subjects have individual entry requirements that are higher than the above. These can be found on our curriculum page by subject and on our application forms.
Evidence of a positive, self-motivated approach to learning.

Frequently asked Questions

What is my predicted grade?

To review your application we will need your most recent predicted GCSE grades. For internal students this will be from your most recent ISM grade. We will also look at your PPE results, but this is only part of the picture so will be used in conjunction with your ISM. If you are an external student, we will need the equivalent information from your most recent school report.

How do option blocks work?

We have a unique system whereby we build the subject blocks around student demand. This means that although not guaranteed, there is more flexibility with the option blocks meaning students have more opportunity to pursue a combination they feel passionately about.

I have made a mistake on the form can I reapply?

Yes you can. Please inform Mrs Stephenson on sixthforminfo@churchdownschool.com and complete a new application form.
